Aggravation Board Game (U.S. and Metric)
Aggravation Board Game (U.S. and Metric)
Create a classic Aggravation board game with this woodworking plan, perfect for adding a nostalgic and interactive element to your home. The game is similar to others like Sorry and Parcheesi but holds a special place for those who remember playing Aggravation as kids.
This version of the board game is made from three pieces of plywood, sandwiched together for strength. You'll drill the holes for the marbles using a handheld drill, though a plunge router or drill press could be used for more precision. The template for the holes is included in the plans.
Once the holes are drilled, a hexagon-shaped frame is created to fit over the game board, and the pieces are carefully glued together with a clear-drying adhesive. The game board is framed with solid wood pieces, and the corners are mitered and joined using a dado stack on a table saw.
This project video includes tips for preventing splintering, suggestions for using MDF or solid wood, and advice on painting the different sections of the board for a colorful finish. The final product is a sturdy, functional board game that can be passed down through generations, offering hours of family fun.
Note: both U.S. and Metric versions will be available for download after checking out.
