Santa's Workshop Countdown Calendar (U.S. and Metric)

Over the past decade, this has proven to be one of my most-built Christmas projects. It's a very flexible project that allows for a lot of creativity. It might be fun to make it, then let your kids or grandkids paint it. It's pretty simple to make with a table saw  — just set the angles right and you'll have no problems. 

The plans include stencils for the lettering on the workshop and the numbered blocks. I transferred them to the wood using my inkjet transfer technique. You could also trace the letters out using carbon paper. Or skip it all together and freehand your own designs!
